We're happy to report on your website that we had a fantastic 10-day safari. We saw so much. We spotted the Big Five right on our first day, during our visit to the Olpejeto Conservancy.
The accommodations we stayed at were varied and each had its own unique charm. The tent at Maji Moto was truly special! Even though the facilities here were quite basic compared to other lodges, this stay gave us an impressive glimpse into Maasai culture. We wouldn't have missed this!
Jeremiah was a fantastic guide and a very good and reliable driver. He's also an incredibly kind person with whom we had some very enjoyable and engaging conversations.
The organization of our trip was perfect. We were able to flexibly arrange program details with Jeremiah, such as the departure time.
In short, we thoroughly enjoyed our safari and would rate it 5 stars.

July 2024
Hi Brenda,
We had a fantastic holiday in Tanzania and Zanzibar. It is the best holiday ever, and we feel very privileged to have been able to take such a holiday. You arranged everything perfectly for us.
First we climbed Kilimanjaro via the 7-day Machame route. We were accompanied by a great team of 2 guides (Oforo and Benjamin), a cook (Benedict), and 11 porters! The tents were already ready when we arrived at the new place, and the food was delicious and extensive. Oforo and Benjamin regularly checked whether we were doing well, had drunk enough and had eaten. And after arriving at camp, we took an extra walk for acclimatization. All this helped us reach the summit of 5895m. We are very proud that this has been achieved.
After a week of walking, not showering and sleeping on mats, I wanted to spend the night in lodges for the Safari. You have selected beautiful lodges, two of which are in the Serengeti and Tarangire National Parks. Awesome!
The driver Ricky was also very good. Ricky took us to the right spots and is very good at spotting the animals; we were able to see the big five! Ricky is extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions (and there were many!).
After Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire NP we flew to Zanzibar. Relax on beautiful beaches and blue sea, snorkeling, diving and nothing else.
We enjoyed! Many thanks for organizing.

Hi Brenda,
We really had a wonderful trip, which we still think about every day. The climb was more difficult than expected (due to the strong wind and occasional rain), but we succeeded and the view was phenomenal. The safari was also a very special experience, where we saw a lot of wild animals. It was very nice that Rick (safari) and Mohammed (hike) were both part of it, really great people!
It was really a dream trip, with a nice balance between different activities (Kilema, Mount Meru, Lake Natron, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire). Everything was excellently arranged, from transportation to accommodations to food. We definitely recommend this organization to everyone.
You can choose which photos you want to include. Again thank you very much!
Greetings,

Hi Brenda,
Hope your well. Just wanted to say thank-you for a fantastic holiday.
All the guides were excellent and Longi was fantastic! We also shared the Serengeti campsite with a Lion for the two nights we were there!
Accommodation, service and food were also very good. Thanks again for a holiday of a lifetime.

Liebe Brenda,

Hi Brenda,
I hope all's well and you are able to receive this. We had a long chat with Jamal this morning (what a nice man!) and he is letting us stay all day tomorrow with a very late checkout in the evening. 😊
It's been a lovely stay at Panga Chumvi and we hope you can use it in your itineraries in the future.
Salum was really good to us and we will contact him today about when to pick us up for the airport tomorrow night.
Longi our safari guide of course was fantastic. How lucky you are to have him working with you. There are no words great enough to describe him; nothing was ever too much trouble and he looked after us really well. Ire too; and we did understand most of his English!
Thank you so much for a wonderful trip and safari. We will no doubt be in touch again after our return.
By the way. We may not have seen many hyenas (only in the distance, but Longi made up for it with his excellent imitation of a hyena's call. Ask him to do it for you!

We have just returned home from a fantastic trip through Tanzania with Brendafrica travels. We discussed our wishes, expectations and budget with Brenda in advance. Brenda thought along very well with us and managed to put together the ideal trip with us. It has lived up to all our expectations and maybe more. The local people Brenda works with (with us Jackson and Salom) were very friendly, flexible and thoughtful and were well aware of everything Tanzania has to offer.

Hi Brenda,
Here's our review!
We have experienced the contact with Brenda as very pleasant and personal. She visited us and therefore got a good idea of who we are and what we would like. She is perfectly capable of devising a suitable trip. Everything is done in good consultation. in connection with Corona we had to change twice This was not a difficult issue.
We really enjoyed from the beginning to the end our trip and safari; it all went very well! We have seen part of the great migration; that was really great! Our driver/guide Honest was very nice, smiley, helpful, flexible and he was excellent at tuning in to what we needed at any time.
Greetings! Daniëlle
Climb Mount Meru, safari in North Tanzania
June 2022
Hi Brenda,
This year we were finally able to make the trip that we have wanted to do for three years and it has exceeded all our expectations!
We started our trip with a four-day climb to the top of Mount Meru, accompanied by our guide Oforo and cook Benedict.
We had never climbed a mountain before so it was definitely a nice challenge.
We were very well looked after and reaching the top with the sun rising and expansive views from the top of Mount Meru was fantastic.
The second part of our trip was the camping safari (3 nights) in Ngorongoro and Serengeti.
Together with Rick and Mohamed we went on an adventure.
Mohamed cooked fantastic dinners and they both spoke with love, passion and knowledge about the many animals we spotted.
The herd of elephants that passed behind our tent was a real moment of happiness.
The last part of the journey continued to Zanzibar.
It was very nice that we met Brenda and Iren in Stone Town where Iren showed us around.
Unfortunately, after 2.5 weeks, our trip came to an end, completely relaxed after this well-organized trip full of beautiful memories!
We have attached a photo together with Rick and Mohamed, say hi to them!
Greetings Anouk and Simon

Hi Brenda,
I had no time to reply earlier as we are so busy enjoying Stone Town! We absolutely love the town and your house is perfect-we love the atmosphere and decoration!
Our safari was a great experience, everything was very well planned and thought of, and we couldn’t have had a better guide/ driver than Longi. Apart from being very good at his job, he’s also fun and easy going and we had a great time together. Also our cook Benedict was so nice, always taking care of our needs and trying to please us, especially our daughter. We enjoyed camping in the wild-our daughter had a bad night falling very sick but fortunately she recovered quickly. Her only complaint was that we were not lucky to see a leopard!
Thanks for planning a great trip for us, we’ll get in touch soon!

Hi Brenda,
I hope you and Ire are well
I have never taken so long to adjust returning from a vacation. There was jet lag, I picked up a parasite in Zanzibar however the biggest adjustment was returning to the city and work after two marvellous weeks in the African wilderness - That wild, crazy land that energized the free spirit within me; the beautiful, kind, gentle people; the ancient, sacred balboa trees, and the magnificent, wild animals were all so much more than I ever imagined, I look at my photos and can hardly believe I was there and actually took these pictures!
I often think of you and all the wonderful people Shannon and I met and the most incredible experiences.
Take good care of You!

We’re back in Germany safe and sound and had a wonderful time during our trip to TZ! So we wanted to thank you for teaming us up with a number of wonderful helpers, foremost of course Honest and Benedict, which were both fantastic.
Also Salum and Ire were really nice and helpful. We also enjoyed the lodges/hotels you had suggested and had a wonderful time. We will certainly recommend you - well, and will inquire about your services again should the opportunity arise J.

Please find our feedback we wrote from the airport in Arusha already a couple of days ago :
Dear Brenda,
We just arrived at the airport of Kilimanjaro after two wonderful weeks and we can not wait to thank you and your team for this wonderful journey.
The circuit and the order of the different parcs shows your knowledge and experience in organising safaris. The lodges were all different, interesting and of a very good level of comfort. The last one was of course of a very high level. Much better than expected although there was no swimming pool and that we had only one but very large bungalow.
The most important for us is to tell you how satisfied we are about Jackson and Patrick. They contributed to a very large part to the success of this journey.
Jackson has the experience, the knowledge and the discretion needed.
Patrick, as you explained, still need to gain experience and some French knowledge. With his friendliness he has been a great added value for the kids although sometimes we had some difficulties to understand him.
We were very happy of our stay in Lake Natron. It gave us the opportunity to meet local people and to rest in the middle of the safari. Although we had some worries, the road to and from there were very nice.
I hope you can understand by this email that we have been very very happy by the safari and your organisation and we will not hesitate to give your contact to friends or family who can be interested by Tanzania.
Best regards,

Brenda,
We are all now back at home after completing our travels and holiday together and we wanted to say a big thanks for the wonderful package you organised for us.
Firstly, I must congratulate you on a service that was prompt, efficient and well executed. Secondly, we all agree that Longi proved to be an excellent driver/host and was patient in answering our numerous question and responding to our various request for assistance. I must say he is an asset to your company and at all point conducted himself in a highly professional manner. We were honored to have him as a guide as he added coped well with our inquisitive minds and non-stop chatter and laughter. Our vacation was fantastic!!!
Vernie and Marlene got their first taste of Africa in a highly memorable fashion. They had tons of pictures to share on a daily basis and have been able to give a good report of Tanzania and allay much fears on travelling to Africa. I have already begun marketing your services and will recommend you to anyone interested in a similar package.
The one drawback was that we found our last hotel to be in need of an urgent upgrade. The room and bathroom facilities were not of the standard expected. Everything and everyone else provided a wonderful service. Keep up the excellent work.
Below please find a picture of us all at Tarangire National Park.

Hello
Thank you very much for all arrangements with our travel to Tanzania. Everything worked out over expectations and we are very, very satisfied. Longi and Mohammed were excellent guide and cook. A positive attitude, lot of knowledge and really doing their very, very best to make our safari unforgettable! They also adjusted to our wishes as we had forgotten towels and Mohammed helped us getting some in Arusha. Also Ery was very good explaining us everything in Stone town and showing us around.
>We did not know about the election in Tanzania but for us it added a lot of local understanding as Longhi and later Ery could explain the political situation. It was more tense situation than we noticed but we changed the boat trip to Prison Island and I actually think we got a better flow in the trip by taking it as last day before going home. Also Salum В he also helped us around with very early pick up, change of schedule, and also explained all about the political situation; Very interesting to follow.
We will give our very best recommendations of Brendafrica to all friends that would like to go to Tanzania in the future.
I only have 2 things that we missed in preparing our trip:
towels - maybe an idea to put towels and sleeping bags on pack list for campers
dollars - we should have taken with us more USD as we could actually pay with USD both on Safari and everywhere at Zanzibar and also to a lower cost than in Schillings. There was not many ATM machines and VISA was not accepted anywhere
Thank you again we will ”live” on the memories from our trip for a very long time.
Our very best regards
Paula

I would like to extend the best greetings from my family and the rest of the group to your team. They were very impressed indeed and happy with the entire trip. Mohamed and Benedict are great company and know how to cook and the drivers Longi and Jackson are very responsible and defensive. So all in all a great trip. So will definite recommend to others.

Dear Brenda
Our trip was wonderful, the whole experience was beyond our expectations and we thank you for that.
Ricky was a very good driver/guide and a very good person; always trying to fulfill our wishes and expectations, efficient, kind, professional and spontaneous at the same time.
Benedict (the cook) was absolutely perfect; we were deeply moved by his effort to please us.
We had a very good time with them, we still think of them and we wish the best for both of them and their families (hope they had a good time with us as well)
Geoffrey was a really good guide and Salum was a good driver (but of course we didn't relate to them that much, lack of time)
Ire, sui generis, was an experience by himself, and welcomed us warmly.
Our visit to the Massai village was a disaster.
Our visit to the other village was a complete success (what a lunch!!)
Precision Air was just fine (no stress at all!)
Your choice of hotels was really good: Osopuko is a true heaven on earth and the camp has stolen our hearts (although our Dutch neighbors traveling with you had a super tent… jealous- ha,ha,ha…). All the others were fine as well.
We enjoyed the animals, the landscape, the sunrise at Serengeti, the sunset in Zanzibar,... nature is always a true miracle and so different in Africa..we'll never forget it, nor will we ever forget the Massai figures walking or standing, the children's eyes, the faces… nor the bitter, guilty feeling that our world's prosperity is based on other people's poverty…
Of course we'll recommend Brendafrica, we deeply respect your idea of tourism and the way you realized it for us.
Thank you Brenda
We wish you the best, personally and professionally
Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!
We highly recommend this organization, and a vacation to Tanzania in general.
Special thanks go to Mohamed - our Kilimanjaro organizer/cook (and the rest of the crew!), and Ricky - our Safari guide.
Brenda, we had a great trip. The time spent in the south was perfect. We so enjoyed the tent camps in Selous and Ruaha. Flights all perfect and we loved being at Annabels in Pangani. Longi was very good, very accomodating, great driver and guide.
Tarangire NP was so different from the parks in the south and was well worth the trip. We did like the fact there were fewer people in the south and the tent camps smaller. Overall a great trip. The first time visitors Don and Carole were overwhelmed with the tent camps, animals and birds in the South. Yes we would recommend Brendafrica travels.
Thanks so much.

Dear Brenda,
I am imagining you sitting in your office by the sea. Envy, envy.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your care and concern that went in to your planning of our trip. I (and the others) really appreciated it. It was very funny hearing you ringing up our guides, checking they were doing their job- like having a nice mum looking out for you on your first trip away from home!
TI also appreciated your local knowledge being put into practice to enable us to go to places and see things which we otherwise wouldn't have done. It's always good to get off the usual tourist route. It's left me with lots of good and colourful memories and lots of powerful impressions- some sad I have to admit- about east Africa. And I shall never forget, the trip to the odd little complexes along the coast that are now uninhabited, or those that had turned into Little Italy. And of course, swimming with dolphins will go down as extraordinary in my personal history- and our hysterics at getting back into the boat- will stay with me as a highlight!
Do hope you make it to England/Scotland some day soon. You will always have a bed in York if you'd like one.

Dear Brenda
Thanks for your email - I enjoyed the care and concern for our well-being and I hope it gave you the reassurance that all your arrangements were working in what seems a very 'unreliable' country from this point of view. I think sometimes we take this 'indepenent' stance too far at the cost of caring/keeping an eye on one another - not to the point of smothering, but having natural human concern. That was how I took it and thank you.
Thank you too for making such amazing arrangements for us all, and having had more experience of other hotels, guides etc. I realise how hard you work at that and over the years have obviously made some really good contacts - even though we did have some 'sub-contracting' !
It was good too to have your company at various points to show us places, which in that time-scale we wouldn't have necessarily discovered. My pocket is poorer but my inner/outer experience is much larger.
Blessings and love to you and hope our paths will cross again somewhere - who knows..!!

Dear Brenda & Ire,
Having travelled to Tanzania this way was like a dream come true.
Everything was in place. It was like me being the moviestar in a topmovie.
Everything was taken care of.
The most exciting days where the climbing of the Kilimanjaro.
When you mentioned the Kilimanjaro's name, a childhood memory popped up.
The first thing I was reading in the guide you gave me was:
" a vision and a dream, not a mountain to be conquered".
the hiking to the Uhurupeak was one of the most amazing moments in my life.
I went up with Davis, the guide from The peaks of Tanzania, Nestor the cook, John I, my waiter, John 2, Winfred the porters.
For six days, no shower! Sharing the hut with 3 other people you never met before.
Getting up at 6.30 in the morning when a tremendous breakfast was being served.
In the evening a 3-course meal and enjoying it with people from all over the world with one focus and one dream: Uhurupeak.
Used to the hectic way of life in Holland, in the beginning it was very hard to go " pole pole" , like Davis was constantly repeating me, but I learned.
It's like in normal life, you always follow a good example.
Reaching Uhuru Peak after 7 hours of hiking from Kibohut, was a magic moment. tears in my eyes and a proudness that I did it.
I can encourage every body to do this when the time is there that you really want to meet yourself.
I did it alone but had a battle with myself everyday and we both won!
Thank you so much.

I have got back to Copenhagen yesterday and I stayed only a few days in Zanzibar. I would have like to meet you though. I enjoyed very much the vacation and especially the safari with Paulo. Tailor made: Kigoma - Gombe Stream National Park- Chimpansees
Date: april 2009
Dear Brenda, we have just come back from the absolute amazing trip you organized for us to Gombe Stream National Park. We had high hopes of it but in reality it was even better! I am glad you booked us in the simple Guest House with single beds/cold shower and a stunning view of the lake, it matched perfectly with the natural surroundings. We enjoyed the walks in the jungle, more climbing than walking though and of course the best of all were the Chimpansees. We saw quite a number and were twice witness of a hunt on a Colobus monkey which they killed and devoured on the spot! We had the pleasure of meeting Anthony Collins who took us on several walks, with his explanations and accompanying stories these little expeditions became great adventures! The area is just too beautiful to describe, the waterfalls, amazing mushrooms, naughty Baboons on the beach and lovely fruits (we tried all the fruits Chimps eat as well, quite nice actually!).
Thank you for the perfect trip, well planned and well implemented!
Asante sana, tutarudi!

Hi Brenda,
Yes, of course, we are still just as happy!
And the holiday was absolutely fantastic! You did a great job organizing it. Truly what we wanted. We really felt completely pampered by everything you took care of and all the places we stayed at were top locations.
Because of this, it wasn’t too hard to find the romance!
We also enjoyed the personal touch, from both you and Ire as well. Nice to meet you and the tour Ire took us on was very nice and interesting. Wonderful house you have over there, by the way! The Sable Mountain Lodge was superb. We slept in the best hut with the utmost privacy, and it was truly fabulous! Taking a shower underneath the stars, nice and quiet, a view across the whole valley, and the last night they even offered to serve dinner on our own veranda, fantastic! Great safaris, well catered, and we saw many animals!
In short; only beautiful stories left to tell!
Thank you, Brenda, for the organization, your good assessment of our wishes, your involvement and the personal contact!

Dear Brenda and Ire,
We wish to thank both of you for a wonderful holiday; it was well organized. We will recommend everyone we know, friends, family, colleagues, who wish to go to Tanzania to travel with Brendafrica.
Ire made sure our backpacks, that got lost, resurfaced again, but he especially made us feel welcome. He showed us Stone Town, cheerfully joined us on our sailing trip on the dhow and he was there whenever we needed him. On our last night he showed us your house and took us to the fish market, where we drank the tea he drinks every night over there, it was the finishing touch of our holiday. Ire, thanks for everything, you were great; we hope to see you soon in Holland so we can show you our place.
This tailor made holiday met all our wishes, needs and expectations.
