Classic Safari in Northern Tanzania

Visit all the major national parks in North Tanzania – Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater – in a 21-day journey finishing with a week at the spice island of Zanzibar.

While on safari you will journey though the most beautiful wildlife parks in Africa where you are likely to see the famous ‘Big Five’; lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards and rhinos. As well, you will be surprised by how much you enjoy observing the hundreds of ‘smaller’ species such as secretary birds, baboons, hyenas, rock hyrax, zebras and wildebeest. At night gaze up at the star-spangled African sky before retiring to your tent where you will drift off to sleep to the sound of rustling wildlife.

Accommodation on tour ranges from campsites to hotels, (tented) lodges and bungalows.

The tour finishes with a fabulous sailing voyage from the mainland to tropical Zanzibar on a traditional dhow.

You can even climb Africa’s highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m) on this tour if you wish. If you chose this option, the ascent will take place after the safari. For more information see day-to-day description.
